About Maelove

Maelove is a female-owned women’s skincare startup and they sell online, direct to consumers. What sets them apart from other brands is that they’re able to provide luxury quality products without the luxury markups - all products are $30 or less, and this includes free shipping and free returns. YES. The company was founded by a team of MIT grads (skin-care obsessives, brain and cancer researchers, and chemical engineers) and used research to create formula blueprints. Science + Skincare <3

I’ve been using this line for two months straight and I personally love it.

The Night Renewer: Glycolic Acid Cream

10% medical-grade Glycolic Acid improves your skin texture, fades dark spots and diminishes the appearance of lines, wrinkles and pores.

A proprietary blend of soothing ingredients (Vitamin E, Squalane, Shea Butter, Arnica Flower and Aloe) calms your skin while Hyaluronic Acid maintains proper hydration in your skin.

Effectiveness of chemical peels but without the harsh side effects. You'll start feeling the difference after the first night.

*Start by using 3 nights/week until your skin becomes adjusted. It may cause a slight tingling sensation initially that's normal.

My Experience:

Is it just me… But I seem to like masks/products that have that tingling sensation to it. Some how, my brain computes that if it tingles, it’s working! Like the label indicates, it does tingle when you apply this night cream on. It might be a little strong for most people so I suggest applying to a small area before going all in. Let me tell you, this is probably my favorite out of the four that were sent to me. I can honestly wear LESS make up now because of this. My skin is smoother, and my pores seem to be smaller. I tend to pick my skin and end up with hyper-pigmented scars (darn PA school stress lol). With continued use of this, probably around 4 times a week now, I’ve noticed a dewier glow and a clearer complexion.

The Glow Maker Serum

Vitamins C (15% L-ascorbic acid), E and Ferulic Acid for superb antioxidant protection.  Hyaluronic Acid for long-lasting hydration.

And a proprietary botanical blend (Vitis Vinifera, Aloe, Aurantium Dulcis and Magnolia) for extra nourishment and easy makeup application.

My Experience: You guys know how much I LOVE VITAMIN C. I had to find a more affordable serum that contains potent Vitamin C with Vitamin E & Ferulic Acid. Here it is! I love putting this on under all my (non-existent) makeup because I tend to have combination skin throughout the day. Somehow, my dry, patchy areas are nourished and my oily T-zone stays matte! It’s silky in texture, not sticky whatsoever. I am completely OUT of this serum (2 months) and I’m seriously going to BUY this one. Added to Cart!

The One Cream

The triple-blend of squalane, coconut extracts and glycerin forms a nourishing barrier over your skin to maintain hydration and seal in active ingredients in your serums.

Infused with prebiotics (fructooligosaccharides) to support the community of good bacteria on your skin.

My Experience: Like I said above, I have combination skin and I get dry flakes under my nose and around my mouth area. I feel like this moisturizing cream complements the serum super well. It’s not greasy and it’s light as air. I’m always afraid of putting moisturizers on my T-zone area but THIS does not cause any oily residue build up. Love this with The Glow Maker Serum.

The Sun Protector Mineral SPF 30

Non-nano 18% Zinc Oxide formula provides your skin with complete defense against UVA and UVB rays.

Free of oxybenzone, avobenzone, octinoxate, homolsalate, parabens, phthalates, fragrance and dyes.  Non-comedogenic and hypo-allergenic.  Certified cruelty-free and vegan.

You can never have enough protection against free-radicals, so we fortified The Sun Protector with potent anti-oxidants Vitamins C and E.

My Experience: I LOVE mineral sunscreen and I personally ALWAYS look for Zinc Oxide or Titanium Oxide in the Active Ingredients list. The Sun Protector goes on white, much like body sunscreen, but fades and adapts to your skin in just seconds. It’s not tacky or sticky and it gives you a little sun-kissed glow afterwards. It’s my second to last step in my routine and I love all the protection it gives me.

I am so happy to have these products in my life. My goal always - Great Skincare, Less Makeup. All the products mentioned above are non-scented. I love the simplicity and the potency of this skincare line and I can’t wait to replenish my supply. Thanks for reading!
